
QA Lab Coordinator

- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new work methods and processes
- Initiate and lead projects within the field
- Hold overall responsibility for the EMP (Environmental Monitoring Program) plan
- Ensure new lab employees are introduced to Barry Callebaut Sweden AB's routines and quality standards, and act as a mentor. Together with lab technicians, manage onboarding according to the checklist
- Keep the onboarding checklist for new lab staff updated and continuously improved
- Inform new QA, R&D staff, and operators about the lab's capabilities
- Serve as a substitute in the lab during illness, absence, or periods of high production
- Operational lab work is expected to account for more than 50% of the role's time

- Coordinate the operational activities of the laboratory
- Work proactively to continuously improve Barry Callebaut Sweden AB's quality status
- Escalate issues when time is insufficient or results deviate-including external analyses and those outside the business system
- Within the scope of the role, responsible for developing and maintaining procedures/instructions, ensuring lab methods align with corporate requirements and documentation
- Keep training materials for new lab staff updated and ensure training is conducted per relevant managers' requests
- Maintain structure in the lab and ensure necessary inventory is available for conducting analyses
- Authorized to approve or reject analyzed articles
- Authorized to halt incorrect activities such as production, assignments, purchases, test runs, deliveries, recipes, etc.
- Handle quality deviations in accordance with the role's mandate and escalate relevant issues to the QA Manager when necessary
- Relevant post-secondary education in food technology, chemistry, microbiology, or equivalent practical experience with laboratory work
- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in quality control within the food or pharmaceutical industry
- Previous experience in leading, coordinating, and supervising teams or projects is a plus
- Language skills: fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Experience in the food industry and standardized lab processes (meritorious but not required)
- Knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000/GFSI, GMP, Environmental Monitoring Program, and hygienic design
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient in Microsoft tools
- Proficient in SAP, Salesforce, QDS, Apollo

- Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data and other information
