The department is among the largest of its type in Europe and has especially strong research profiles in psychiatric, cancer, reproductive, pediatric, pharmaco, genetic, and geriatric epidemiology, eating disorders, precision medicine, and biostatistics.Part of the success of our department is due to our collaborative spirit where one factor is that researchers at the Department share and co-finance common resources (e.g., IT and an applied biostatistics group). We provide access to rich healthcare data, hands-on experience with advanced methods, and opportunities to publish in high-impact journals—all in a stimulating environment that drives research with real-world impact.Your missionWe are looking for a motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The successful applicant will work on innovative projects focused on risk prediction and personalized treatment in child and adolescent psychiatry, applying advanced methods in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, and AI.As part of a well-funded and internationally collaborative research group, you will contribute to large-scale data management and analysis, manuscript preparation, grant application, and academic career development.This is a two-year position with possibility of extension. For experienced postdocs, we provide strong support for academic career progression beyond the postdoc period.Your profileQualified to be employed as a postdoctoral researcher is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.The successful applicant is expected to have:
  • PhD in medical or health science with a focus on epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or related topics
  • Experience in handling large-scale health record data, such as Nordic register-based data
  • Advanced data management skills using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R or Python)
  • Experience in writing and publishing scientific articles in epidemiology, psychiatry, or related topics
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral

This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision.
