Job Title: Sales AssistantReports to: General Manager / Department Manager / Operations ManagerPrimary ResponsibilitiesCash Desk Operations
  • Process sales, exchanges, and refunds quickly, accurately, and efficiently using all payment methods.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with assistance from the Head Cashier.
  • Comply with company security procedures and policies, ensuring relevant documents are understood and signed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service at the till by welcoming customers, processing transactions, packing items, and sending them off with a friendly farewell.
  • Generate till reports for Managers and colleagues as required.
  • Ensure smooth opening and closing cash desk procedures.
Delivery
  • Manage the delivery process, including unpacking, sorting, placing, and pricing of goods.
Store Standards
  • Maintain the store’s image through organization and cleanliness.
  • Ensure effective replenishment, aligning with company standards.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom efficiency, layout, and cleanliness.
  • Handle and maintain RFID devices (PDAs, iPods) to support inventory management.
  • Adhere to routines and support the Commercial team in daily operations.
  • Regularly report to line managers and communicate updates, issues, or further action requirements.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout all store areas.
  • Ensure shop floor displays are neat, organized, and appealing to customers.
  • Be vigilant of employee and customer safety risks, following safe work practices and company procedures to mitigate hazards.
Health & Safety
  • Promote a safe and positive work environment and respect among team members.
  • Report any risks, hazards, or incidents to management.
  • Communicate maintenance issues to the General Manager, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
  • Follow Health & Safety standards and report any hazards.
  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, and Code of Conduct.
Customer Service & Customer Experience
  • Welcome and engage with customers on the shop floor, at fitting rooms, and at the cash desk.
  • Actively communicate with customers to provide excellent service and enhance their shopping experience.
  • Stay informed on product knowledge through store activities and company-provided tools.
  • Ensure that your appearance and uniform meet Zara's professional standards.
