The Global Outbound team ensures that our vehicles reach customers worldwide through smart, scalable logistics systems. As we modernize our system landscape, we're looking for a senior Product Owner (PO) to lead the development, operations, and transition of our outbound logistics systems - including the current and future TMS, and related integrations.This role is key to our digital evolution and will operate in a complex technical and stakeholder environment, with legacy systems in place, decentralized user organizations, SaaS suppliers, and a joint future system being built together with MAN under the TRATON umbrella.Your MissionAs Product Owner, you will be responsible for maximizing the business value delivered by our logistics applications. You will own the system roadmap and collaborate closely with our Agile development team, external SaaS vendors, and global stakeholders. This role requires strong skills in vendor management, expectation alignment, and balancing diverse regional needs into unified solutions that serve the company-wide strategy. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure structured change handling, coordinate releases, and support operational excellence in our outbound logistics flows. You'll navigate multi-brand, multi-market, and multi-system challenges, ensuring high performance today while preparing for tomorrow.Key Responsibilities:
  • System Lifecycle Ownership: Own, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap/backlog for TMS, Integration Layer, and other key applications, ensuring business alignment and value delivery, including development, operations, upgrades, ramp-up and ramp-down. Work within an Agile setup to ensure clear requirements, prioritization, testing, and deployment.
  • Supplier & SaaS Management: Act as a key counterpart to external vendors delivering our SaaS logistics systems. Ensure quality, compliance with agreements, and continuous development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage a global network of stakeholders from Sweden, France, Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, and China. Understand varying needs and translate them into globally beneficial and scalable solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with logistics operations, IT, application product owners, business architects, solution architects, and digitalisation teams to ensure business processes and supporting systems evolve together.
  • Change & Release Management: Lead structured change processes for new features, system rollouts, and migrations. Ensure documentation, impact assessments, training, and communication plans are executed effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements and capability development based on user feedback, performance analysis, and strategic needs.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with support and business teams to ensure operational stability and high system availability.
  • Strategic Projects: Support large-scale initiatives such as China and TRATON projects by ensuring that digital solutions are locally relevant and globally aligned.
  • SaaS & Legacy Transition Management: Drive the transition from current SaaS suppliers to the future Scania-MAN solution. Ensure business continuity, current system decommissioning, and readiness for global rollout.
  • Cross-Brand Architecture & Integration: Collaborate with architects and solution teams to manage complex integrations between TMS, ERP, WMS, OMS, and other systems across Scania and MAN.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure that solutions comply with Scania's and TRATON governance models, quality standards, data security, GDPR, audit standards, and sustainability goals.
Your profileWe are looking for a senior professional with a proven track record in IT product ownership within international organizations. You are strategic, hands-on, and comfortable navigating both technical detail and stakeholder politics in a fast-evolving logistics environment.Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field.Experience:
  • 5-10 years as Product Owner, IT Product Manager, or senior Digital Delivery Lead.
  • SaaS lifecycle management. Supplier transition leadership is considered a strong plus.
  • ERP and/or logistics system landscape experience (e.g., SAP, TMS, WMS).
  • Integration and IT architecture understanding (e.g., APIs, EDI, data flows).
  • Stakeholder management across global organizations.
  • Leading system rollouts, migrations, or IT transformation projects.
Technical Skills:
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe); knowledge of Jira and/or Confluence is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale operational platforms.
  • Cloud SaaS model awareness (e.g., SLAs, vendor negotiation).
  • Knowledge of transport-related systems considered a strong plus (e.g. TMS, WMS, ERP, OMS).
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA transition is considered a strong plus.

  • Travel: Occasional travel across Scania's global locations is required.
  • Having the following certifications is considered a strong plus:
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or similar Agile certifications.
  • PROSCI or formal change management training.
  • TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture framework exposure.
