Main Purpose of the Job:Drive the commercial success of programs by managing financial deliverables, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Act as the primary commercial liaison between the company and customers, focusing on negotiation, pricing, and business development.The position may be based at any of our three locations and will carry responsibility for our operations, regardless of the specific site.Key Responsibilities:▪ Commercial Program Management:▪ Oversee the financial and commercial aspects of new, facelift, and change programs to meet budgeted objectives.▪ Develop and present comprehensive quote packages, including cost, capital, and pricing recommendations.▪ Monitor program financial performance, identify improvement opportunities, and report status to stakeholders.▪ Customer Relationship Management:▪ Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial issues, ensuring strong communication and trust with customers.▪ Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.▪ Proactively identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow customer accounts.▪ Financial Oversight and Reporting:▪ Track and report on program financial metrics, including sales pricing, costs, tooling investments, and capital expenditures.▪ Prepare and present financial updates to senior management and customers during program reviews and gateway sign-offs.▪ Ensure all commercial deliverables align with company standards and customer expectations.▪ Collaboration and Process Improvement:▪ Work closely with the Program Development Team and Plant Management to achieve commercial roadmaps.▪ Partner with engineering to drive cost-saving initiatives (VA/VE) and ensure program profitability.▪ Attend cross-functional meetings to maintain clear communication on costs and commercial requirements.▪ Compliance and Safety:▪ Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.▪ Adhere to quality management standards, including IATF 16949 requirements.▪ Take immediate action to address any safety or environmental concerns.Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • University degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
▪ Minimum 5 years in a commercial or business management role within the automotive industry.▪ Proven experience in customer negotiation, contract management, and business development.▪ Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 standards is a plus.▪ Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze and present complex data.▪ Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.▪ Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving commercial targets.▪ Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus.Additional Requirements:▪ Willingness to travel as needed to support customer and program needs.▪ Flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities and customer demands.
