In short, FEV can develop a complete vehicle from concept to production and simultaneously supplies the equipment to test the various vehicle components. As FEV in Sweden we represent the competencies of the FEV Group on the northern European market and ensure that our Scandinavian customers have local access to the global competence of the FEV. We are located in Gothenburg and Stockholm.As a Development Lead Engineer – Commercial Vehicles, you will have the following responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and validation of vehicle systems and components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from concept to production.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Manage supplier relationships and oversee the integration of new technologies.
Analyze and troubleshoot technical challenges, providing innovative solutions.
Optimize performance, efficiency, and durability of commercial vehicle systems.
Drive continuous improvement in product development and engineering processes.
Maintain documentation and support testing activities.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key skills and qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience in the technical field, specifically in commercial vehicle development.
Mandatory minimun 4 years experience from heavy duty commercial vehicles.
Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including powertrain, chassis, or electrical components.
Expertise in mechanical design, simulation, and validation processes.
Hands-on experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).
Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, and production.
Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Experience in supplier management and technical negotiations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on innovation.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
