Craft: Games Design & ProductionJob Description:As Creative Director for a key product area in Candy Crush Soda Saga, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of designers to define and drive the creative vision that supports our product and business goals. You will shape the design strategy across game systems, content and monetisation. Ensuring our experiences are fun, intuitive, and impactful. By connecting deep player understanding with cross-functional collaboration you will guide the delivery of engaging, scalable solutions that elevate the player experience and deliver business impact.Your Role in Our Kingdom
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary design team across UX, UI, Game Design, Level Design, and Economy Design.
  • Own the creative vision for the product area, aligning design strategy with business and product objectives.
  • Champion a player-centric design culture, balancing usability, fun, and clarity in all game experiences.
  • Partner with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Marketing to shape and validate features that drive player value and business impact.
  • Drive consistency, cohesion and excellence in design execution across monetisation and core gameplay scope.
  • Support design tooling, process improvements, and design systems that enable quality and efficiency at scale.
  • Mentor and grow the creative team through coaching, feedback, and development planning.
  • Collaborate with other design leaders across Soda and King to evolve creative practices and ensure alignment with broader strategies.
  • Own key aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and team health.
Skills to Create Thrills
  • Proven leadership experience managing creative teams in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
  • Strong design instincts paired with a deep understanding of player motivation and game systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to align creative direction with business and monetisation strategy.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience influencing product direction through design.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI, game design principles, and player lifecycle.
  • Experience overseeing design for both systems and content — from monetisation features to player-facing surfaces.
  • Skilled in developing teams and cultivating craft excellence across disciplines.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Bonus:
  • Experience in mobile gaming or other live-service consumer products.
  • Familiarity with economy design and its role in engagement and monetisation.
  • Hands-on design experience in multiple disciplines (e.g. UX, UI, game design).
