Project descriptionThird-cycle subject: Computer ScienceA Ph.D. position is available in the area of high-performance computing, with a focus on performance analysis, development, and optimization of scientific simulation codes. The work involves applications in plasma physics, computational fluid dynamics, and molecular dynamics, targeting large-scale systems equipped with GPUs and other accelerators. Key research topics include mixed-precision numerical methods, integrating machine learning into computational workflows, and coupling quantum computing with high-performance computing systems for scientific applications.Supervision: Professor Stefano Markidis is proposed to supervise the doctoral student.
