Your roleAs Legal Counsel at Erinion, you will be the company's first in-house lawyer and a trusted advisor to the management team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have a broad mandate to shape Erinion's legal and compliance framework as we scale across Europe.You will lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex cross-border agreements with customers, suppliers, and financing partners-advising on deals and owning the legal execution at the frontlines of our most important commercial discussions.At the same time, you will build scalable legal processes and frameworks from the ground up, ensuring Erinion operates effectively across multiple jurisdictions. This role is ideal for someone who excels in dynamic environments, enjoys building structure from the ground up, and combines strategic thinking with a hands-on, operational approach. Key responsibilities
  • Lead drafting, negotiation, and execution of cross-border agreements with customers, suppliers, and financing partners.
  • Provide legal guidance on strategic initiatives such as international expansion, partnerships, and financing arrangements.
  • Support corporate governance, including board and shareholder meetings, as well as subsidiary management across multiple markets.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure compliance in all jurisdictions where Erinion operates.
  • Develop and maintain internal policies, frameworks, and templates to support scalable and compliant business practices.
  • Identify and manage legal risks across the business, including dispute resolution and coordination with external counsel.
Your ProfileWe are looking for a Legal Counsel who thrives in a scaleup environment and is motivated by building and taking ownership. You have a strong legal background, a commercial mindset, and the ability to move seamlessly between strategic advice and hands-on execution.
  • 5+ years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a corporate, in-house counsel, or law firm setting.
  • Strong expertise in contract law, both domestic and international.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and executing complex agreements, with a track record of managing cross-border matters.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to provide clear, actionable legal advice to teams across the organization.
  • A pragmatic, proactive, and hands-on approach, with the humility and collaborative mindset needed to succeed in a diverse, international environment.
  • Comfortable adopting modern legal technologies to drive efficiency; exposure to AI-supported tools is considered a plus.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English; proficiency in other languages is considered a merit
