- Responsible for development and improvements of metallic materials to be used in aerospace application.
- Responsible for development and improvements of surface modification and coatings to be used in aerospace application.
- Perform microscopical analysis and conduct mechanical testing for evaluations of materials characteristics
- Contribute to material selections for new product applications
- Maintain and develop technology relationships and partnerships with key national and international academic bodies within the technical field of materials.
- Contribute to defining the detailed content of new R&T programs
- Be an active contributor in larger project teams taking “Microstructure” to “Flight”
- MSc. Degree or higher in Materials Engineering or other relevant engineering field.
- Expertise in surface coating or surface modification technology is considered advantageous during the evaluation
- Experience from research and development in materials technology
- Knowledge and understanding about aerospace metallic materials such as Ni based alloys and Ti alloys is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate results and conclusions
- Proficiency both in Swedish and English
