If you’re passionate about protecting networks, driving security innovation, and making an impact in a dynamic DevSecOps environment, this could be your next step.About the roleAs a Security Specialist, you’ll take ownership of Telia’s firewall and proxy infrastructure, ensuring our platforms remain robust, scalable, and secure. You’ll work closely with the Cybersecurity Product Unit to design and deliver security solutions, while also contributing to incident response, automation, and integration of security in new initiatives. This role combines hands-on engineering with the responsibility of keeping our networks resilient against evolving threats.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing the full lifecycle of Telia’s firewall and proxy solutions.Designing and implementing secure network and cloud architectures.Supporting customer-facing security services in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Product Unit.Handling incident response, troubleshooting, and change management.Providing third-line support, including on-call duties.Developing automation scripts and improving security management tools.Embedding security early in the development lifecycle of new initiatives.What we’re looking for...To succeed in this role, you bring a solid mix of technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and take ownership of your work with precision and care.Your background and skills include:Degree in IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.Proven experience with firewalls and proxies – hands-on Check Point firewall experience is required.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and LAN environments.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security.Familiarity with Git/GitLab, Python, or other scripting tools.Several years of IT and network operations experience.Preferred certifications:Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE).Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA).Personal competencies:Strong collaboration and communication skills.Initiative-driven with a solution-oriented mindset.Detail-oriented and thorough in execution.Curious and eager to grow professionally.Fluent in English; a Nordic language is an advantage.We are more than a workplaceJoin Telia and our inclusive team and collaborate with over 15,000 talented colleagues from around the globe.
