Job Title Master Thesis - Investigating and evaluation beam shaping algorithmsJob DescriptionBackgroundAt Axis New Business Audio Products, we develop audio products for security, such as horn-, ceiling- and cabinet- speakers. In the last years, beam shaping technology has been an emerging trend within audio. Beam shaping is essentially aimable sound. By using a speaker matrix and exploiting the interference properties of waves, it is possible to create areas of high and low sound pressure levels in front of the speaker.GoalThis thesis work will develop an algorithm that achieves beam shaping using a speaker matrix. This will include theoretical studies in wave theory and signal processing, acoustics followed by hands on measuring the performance of your algorithm in our anechoic chamber.Areas of interest:Signal processingPhysics and wave theoryAcousticsEducational backgroundMaster’s student in Electrical engineering, Engineering physics, Computer science or similar.OK, I am interested!
