We specialise in senior and highly technical positions across the engineering, technology and construction sectors worldwide.Position - Civil Site Manager (onshore wind farm)Employment type - Freelance contractStart date - 1st May 2024End date - 31st December 2024SummaryThe Civil Works has as its objective to analyze and perform an exhaustive monitoring of the activities of each of the contractors and subcontractors for the different works described above, giving them the necessary guidelines for the correct and appropriate for the execution of the project.They should also assume the decision making required for the proper development of the works.The Civil Works will also include the coordination of the activities of the Contractors and subcontractors with the equipment suppliers, the reception on site of all this equipment and the startup of the installation. The coordination of the works will be carried out under the following guidelines of the Construction Manager.Manager for Civil Works has ultimate responsibility for the performance of the works on site in the execution of:

Excavation of foundation pits,
Piling,
Construction of concrete foundations including rock anchor foundations,
Site drainage system.
Earthing works,
Backfilling,
Testing,
Management of spoil / overburden material,
Landscaping.

Leadership and coordination of contractors and subcontractors at site and representation of the construction site in liaison with various stakeholders including clients, landowners, regulatory bodies, community liaison groups and utilities.Ensuring that all necessary inspections and tests of work are conducted and recorded.Minimizing defects in the works and ensuring that any minor outstanding works are notified and are promptly completed.Qualifications

Civil degree or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred
Significant experience as a leader of a field-deployed technician team with responsibility for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
Must be English speaking, Swedish is a bonus
Have an understanding of Swedish construction regulations and permits.
At least 5 years of experience in windfarm construction of the BoP part.
To be able to do civil works inspections onsite.
Familiar with ABT06 contracts.
Valid driver's license, EU passport and ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives
