If you are attracted to the idea of contributing with your own initiatives and collaborating across several departments and business areas within the company, this could be the right position for you!Your tasks and responsibilitiesInternal control is a key function within Boliden due to the high complexity of the business from a risk and control perspective. Boliden is now seeking a business-oriented person who has knowledge, experience, and strong communication skills to make the function top-class and an integrated part of Boliden's daily operations. You will have a central role in maintaining and implementing the internal control system across all of Boliden's business processes, including finance, procurement, manufacturing, sales, sustainability, and IT. Furthermore, you will play a key role in the continuous development of the framework for internal control, such as within the sustainability area and fraud prevention. You will act as a reliable internal advisor within internal control and risk management.You will be working in a position with many points of contact, and relationship building is essential, which means regular visits to Boliden's various production facilities. In this role, you will report to the Director Internal Control. The position is located at Boliden's head office in central Stockholm and there is the possibility of some hybrid work.Your primary responsibilities will include:

Evaluate compliance and relevance of internal controls
Proactively identify and assess emerging risks, support in risk assessments, and in the development of the annual internal control plan
Act as a support for control owners in self-assessment of risks and controls
Write and present reports on observations and recommendations
Provide advice to control owners on the design of internal controls to effectively mitigate risks
Collaborate with the business to identify areas for improvement
Conduct training in risk and internal control
Support the business in implementing controls to mitigate risks
Support the business in external audits

What we seekTo thrive in the role of Internal Control Specialist at Boliden, you are motivated to drive projects and be an initiative-taking team player in your work. You have the ability to identify and analyze problems and solutions and are not hesitant to drive the change yourself. You possess skill in being able to take a pedagogical approach towards your counterparts and the ability to break down complex issues into simple terms. Furthermore, you have the ability to prioritize from a business perspective. You are unpretentious in your work, where you enjoy working both strategically and hands-on.You have an academic degree in economics or a related field, together with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience of internal control. Your experience may come from areas such as risk advisory, in-house internal control at a company, or from work in external or internal audit. It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of best practice within internal control and governance frameworks, especially within Swedish listed companies.
