- Finite Element simulation of structures subject to all types of static and dynamic loads (fatigue, impulsive, Transportation, seismic, etc.)
- Run feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performances.
- Work in new product development projects focusing on valve mechanical design tasks involving multi-disciplinary areas - for example heat transfer, electrical insulation, strength of materials and manufacturing technologies.
- Perform CAD modeling and mechanical simulations using commercial software, preferably ABAQUS/ANSYS etc. to evaluate new converter valve designs in R&D projects.
- Participate in various product verification tests from early prototype testing to final verification of converter valve design and simulation models.
- Provide support and insight to R&D engineers based on design or simulations by sharing through technical discussion/ reports
- Drive failure analysis, RCA (Root cause analysis), and design of experiments (DOE).
- A Master's degree or PhD in theoretical/applied mechanics, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, other related fields
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical static/dynamic simulation especially fatigue and seismic simulation.
- Strong knowledge of FEA tools is required and advance knowledge on fatigue and seismic standards (IEEE, IEC, EuroCode etc.) are desirable.
- Conducting tests in the laboratory and/or field to acquire data needed for simulation development and validation.
- Experience in Mechanical Design and simulation with strong proficiency in ANSYS/ABAQUS or similar software.
- Good collaboration and communication skills to thrive in multi-cultural environment.
- Innovative & creative thinking ability.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Swedish will be an advantage.
