The position involves both hands-on laboratory work and computational analysis, with the overall aim of refining tumour classification and identifying epigenetic drivers of tumorigenesis.Responsibilities include:
- Designing and conducting experiments using methylation arrays and nanopore sequencing, including both laboratory procedures and downstream data analysis.
- Handling and processing patient-derived biological materials, such as tumour tissue, single-cell preparations, and blood samples.
- Culturing and maintaining primary cells, including cancer stem cell populations derived from CNS tumours.
- Performing DNA methylation analyses and integrating data to support diagnostic and mechanistic studies.
- Contributing to bioinformatic pipelines and/or independent research projects.
