
Equipment Engineer (all genders)

- Lead the development and deployment of next-generation manufacturing equipment and automation solutions aligned with strategic business goals.
- Define and implement future manufacturing principles, focusing on lean, digitization, modularization, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, R&D, Quality, IT, and Global Engineering) to translate operational needs into technical equipment solutions.
- Evaluate, design, and optimize equipment concepts and layouts to ensure efficiency, reliability, and flexibility in production environments.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in equipment design and integration to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Act as technical lead in capital investment projects related to production equipment and automation.
- Benchmark industry trends and emerging technologies to propose strategic equipment development road maps.
- Develop and maintain equipment technical specifications, standards, and documentation.
- Support pilot implementations, testing, and validation of new equipment technologies before full-scale deployment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards in equipment design and operations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related roles within an industrial or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Evidence of improving operational efficiency by employing equipment innovation or applying strategic manufacturing principles.
- Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing, automation technologies, and enhancing production processes.
- Experience with CAD tools, simulation software, and equipment specification development.
- Advanced project management and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
- Proficient problem-solving capabilities and strategic mindset.
- Effective communicator in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
- Experience in chemistry and process automation, packaging or similar discrete manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and digital factory initiatives.
- Familiarity with equipment life cycle management and total productive maintenance (TPM) practices.
