Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent/bold/passionate Maintenance team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing Northvolt Labs and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.About the job
As maintenance engineer you will be a part of establishing maintenance routines and learn from equipment suppliers as well as the commissioning teams in order to become an expert within the factory. Your role will include the execution of preventative maintenance in collaboration with operators as well as being reactive to perform corrective maintenance when needed.
This role is for you who always is eager taking things apart, who isn't afraid to work with your hands and working towards the root cause and solving the problem.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Interface with operators, technicians and other production personnel to understand and communicate improvements that needs to be done and has been done
Take the lead in developing and optimize maintenance programs for equipment
Train others in maintenance specific tasks
Follow up on performance of reliability of the equipment
Make cost and spend analysis of the equipment
Responsible for larger reinvestments when needed
Set up long term maintenance activities
Evaluation of needed spare parts of the equipment
Together with the rest of the team, being a key player to develop and maintain a safe work environment
Participate in the process when new equipment arrives
Follow up KIP:s and analyse for improvement

A Bachelor's degree engineering or any related fields
Minimum of 2 years working experience in maintenance or production
Excellent English written and oral skills
Elementary computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Good technical knowledge about mechanical, automation, hydraulic and pneumatics
Proven skills in working with continuous improvements in industrial environment
