The successful candidate for this position is expected to take overall responsibility for the development of the discipline of business administration. The candidate conducts high-quality research, leads or participates in various research projects, actively applies for research funding (for themselves and others), and contributes to seminars and other development work. The role includes responsibility for teaching at all levels and in all forms of education, ensuring quality, progression, and course development.Collaboration with colleagues and external partners is essential at both the local and global levels. Administrative tasks and some leadership responsibilities (e.g., group or project management) are also included.Location: This position is located on the Östersund Campus, and travel between campuses is required. To be qualified for employment as a professor you must possess demonstrated academic and educational aptitude. Furthermore, the eligibility requirements described in and in theThe candidate must hold a PhD in Business Administration with a focus relevant to the subject.A minimum of 15 higher education credits in university-level pedagogy (or 10 weeks of full-time study) is required. If not already completed, this must be achieved within two years of employment.The successful candidate must also demonstrate the following:
- Active research with significant high-quality international publications in recent years
- Proven track record in publishing in top-ranked journals as noted on the Academic Journal Guide – (UK-ABS Latest List), including lead and single authored papers
- Originality, breadth, and depth in theory and method
- Scientific independence
- Ability to plan, initiate, and successfully lead research projects and supervise doctoral students
- Demonstrated ability to supervise doctoral students in the discipline of business administration
- Success in obtaining competitive research funding (e.g., from the Swedish Research Council)
- Extensive experience in educational development and educational quality assurance at all levels
- Proven teaching excellence at different levels and broad experience with different teaching methods
- Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive work environment
- Administrative and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Swedish or English, both spoken and written
