As the first recruitment in this new BU, we are now looking for a Sales Application Engineer. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our sales companies around the world to drive growth and deliver value in Biofuels and other agri-based industries like sugar, starch, edible oil, etc. You’ll combine technical expertise with commercial insight to help Alfa Laval further strengthen our position as a trusted partner in sustainable food- and biofuels production.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Application Expertise: Guiding sales company colleagues and customers toward optimal process solutions to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability in food processing.
- Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with sales companies to develop and execute strategic, tactical, and operational plans that strengthen our market position and generate leads and helping closing deals.
- Implementation Support: Actively support sales companies in rolling out these plans, ensuring alignment and measurable impact across regions and customer segments.
- Commercial Excellence: Provide commercial support during quotation process, helping sales companies craft winning strategies that resonate with customer needs and drive success.
- Technology Transfer: Sharing technical expertise with colleagues, customers and partners.
- Strong technical background in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering
- Experience within biofuels and other agri-based industries like sugar, starch, and edible oil
- Familiarity with heat exchangers and thermal solutions in food processing is an advantage
- A proactive problem-solver with a customer-centric mindset
- Comfortable working in a cross cultural, collaborative global environment
- Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling solutions
