- Developing, implementing and managing Compensation and Benefits programs that are competitive and cost appropriate;
- Providing advice on all aspects of Total Rewards topics for the 4 assigned Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland). Partnering with the HR functions in those countries to deliver short to medium term objectives;
- In conjunction with business plans, preparing the organization and its employees for changing business needs;
- Providing analysis and tactics that are necessary for decision-making regarding employee Compensation and Benefits changes including sensitive projects such as Acquisitions and Divestitures, TUPE and restructuring programmes;
- Creating and maintaining policies and procedures related to compensation and benefits, ensuring compliance with local regulations;
- Managing the relationships with external vendors for benefits programs;
- Protecting the corporation and representing 3M at external forums;
- Ensuring compliance with 3M Business Conduct Policies and other policies, and teaching and acting as an example of uncompromising ethics;
- Exercising discretion in matters of confidentiality.
- An interest in Compensation & Benefits - Specific experience in Compensation & Benefits is not required but you should have experience in HR, Finance or another related field and have an interest in developing in the Total Rewards space.
- A basic understanding of the labor laws, regulations, and market practices in one or more of the Nordic countries.
- Strong analytical skills along with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and manage your own work independently, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach in a remote setting.
- Ability to manage relationships with external vendors for benefits programs effectively.
- Experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters along with a commitment to uncompromising ethical standards.
- Must be fluent in both English and a local Nordic language
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, including experience in developing and managing competitive programs.
- Experience of working in a multi-national, matrix organization.
- Flexibility to adjust strategies and approaches in response to changing business needs and regional differences.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to compensation and benefits.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with sensitivity to cultural differences and practices in the Nordic region, fostering effective collaboration across countries.
