You will be responsible for the execution of discreet package delivery across total lifecycle of the project, ensuring efficient interfacing, collaboration with procurement, construction and commissioning, and ensuring reporting and control of schedule, cost and quality for the DS1 project and associated buildings for our planned Gigafactory in Heide. You will work with other Project Engineers, engineering and technical teams, factory planning team, contractors and peers, including procurement and construction disciplines to support the overall project targets. You will report into the Project Manager responsible to scope delivery. This means you are working in a highly cross-functional environment and acting as an intrapreneur in a fast-paced environment.About the team
You will be part of the growing Factory Program team that will drive the planning, engineering, purchasing, construction, and commissioning of our new battery factory in Heide, Germany. Built in multiple phases over 5+ years the factory represents a multi-billion Euro investment project. Together with your colleagues from the Program team you will work with internal and external teams cross-functionally to deliver on company targets and in line with customer expectations.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
As a Project Engineer (focused on supporting project execution in Project Management group), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, development, and deployment of discipline and interface scope packages for our DS1 project and associated buildings within the Gigafactory. You will have the unique opportunity work within a multi-discipline group, co-ordinating and driving discreet scope packages to ensure the successful execution of the project and the attainment of our ambitious targets. You will report one of the DS1 Project Manager and support the successful delivery of the DS1 building.You have the opportunity to drive the build-up of a lighthouse green battery factory in Germany and grow this project almost from day one.
- Project Support: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring elements of the project, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Project Control and Reporting: Monitor and report on progress, challenges, highlights, risks and opportunities in the Project Plan, Engineering and Design, Procure, Construction, Commission, and liaise with the environmental and permitting team to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with various teams, including factory planning, engineering, and contractors, to ensure the seamless integration of multi-discipline and discreet project components into the overall project.
- Project Delivery: Monitoring potential blockers, risk, opportunities and drive the implementation of solutions and streamlining execution.
- Technical Delivery: Supports the Technical Team in ensuring scope management and meeting technical and quality requirements.
- Ambitious Targets: Contribute to the project's success by supporting the team in achieving our ambitious goals for the Gigafactory construction.

- Engineering degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar)
- Proven experience in project engineering or project management in the design and build environment (minimum of 3-5 years)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to assist in the management of project timelines and budgets.
- Working in multi-discipline projects
- Experience from a multi-cultural environment
- Experience with interfacing with multiple contractors
