This full-time role is based in one of our Northern Europe support offices-Copenhagen, Aalborg, Gothenburg, Oslo, Helsinki, or Maarssen.Your roleAs our Data Protection and Privacy Advisor, you'll be a key member of our Data Protection team, supporting our stores and business functions across Northern Europe. You'll advise on GDPR and global privacy laws, help shape our compliance documentation, and promote a culture of privacy across Specsavers.Your key responsibilities include:Advising stores and business units on privacy and data protection mattersSupporting data subject requests and privacy-related casesPerforming and evaluating Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)Developing training and awareness materialsEngaging with stakeholders across the business and externallySupporting regulatory inspections and auditsPromoting good information handling practicesYou'll report to the Head of Legal Data Protection NE, and occasional travel is expected.Your new teamYou'll join a collaborative and experienced Data Protection team that works globally to support Specsavers' privacy efforts. To succeed in this role, you'll need:2+ years' experience in data protection/privacy workStrong understanding of GDPR and global privacy lawsExperience drafting privacy statements, policies, and handling DSARsExperience performing risk assessments and DPIAsExcellent communication skills and stakeholder engagementAbility to work independently and with attention to detailFluency in English; knowledge of a Nordic language is a plusOn a personal level, you're structured, curious, and confident in presenting to all levels of staffYour developmentWithin 3 months, you'll:Be onboarded and introduced to key stakeholdersUnderstand Specsavers' privacy frameworkSupport stores and business units with privacy queriesWithin 6-12 months, you'll:Lead DPIAs and privacy initiativesBe a go-to person for privacy advice in NEDeliver training and awareness sessionsFurther development:We have a strong focus on your personal development plan to make sure that your competencies and skills continue to be best in classYou can choose a career path within Specsavers you perceive as your personal journey.You can grow professionally in an organisation that recognises your skills and personality.Want to join?
