As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in designing and building machine learning models for our edge ML product. You will tackle challenges that let you apply your skills across software engineering, data science, computer vision and machine learning. By joining our team, you’ll help enhance the reliability and safety of our vehicles, directly contributing to their performance on the road. This is an opportunity to join the team during 6 months in a part-time internship. To put it into specifics you will:
  • Build a cutting-edge machine learning product and see your model deployed on Voi vehicles worldwide.
  • Build a machine learning product end-to-end, from dataset creation, PoC model development, edge ML optimisation, to model deployment and business impact measurement.
  • Support production-grade models with a focus on reliability and scalability, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with a world-class, cross-functional product team, learning from and supporting each other while aligning on priorities and business outcomes.
WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK:We are looking for an ambitious and curious student looking to build a career in Machine Learning. In addition to being collaborative and fluent in English we believe the right person has:
  • 1 year or less remaining on a Masters degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience using Git
  • Knowledge in common machine learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks, transfer learning, object detection, has been applying models in frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
  • Experience with edge computing or embedded coding is a plus.
