You will be joining an established team responsible for supporting a large Windows Server infrastructure and mission critical applications across traditional datacenter and cloud platforms.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting VMware including Tanzu, NSX, Aria vSAN and vSphere
Ensure proper monitoring of application components, including hardware, OS and application levels, for availability and performance. Be able to identify proper responses to alerts and identify monitoring gaps.
Ability to work from a project plan, identifying steps necessary to complete the assigned task.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues. This includes working with not only end users but engaging other teams and leading troubleshooting efforts.
Moderate understanding of Active Directory and other identity platforms (Okta)
Ability to create and document processes ranging from sever creation to proper response to alerts.
Handle day to day support activities and must be comfortable in working on production support incidents on a live call with several other support teams, making recommendations, escalating when necessary.
Aware of High Availability and Disaster Recovery best practices, Veeam experience would be a plus.
Familiarity with Networking, specifically TCP/IP routing, load balancing theories and standard port assignments.
Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP
After hours work/On Call rotation may be required

Skills and qualifications for this role include:

6+ years of prior work experience in IT, including recent 3+ years of work experience in an enterprise (1000+ server) environment.
Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting complex VMware environments.
Extensive 24/7 Level 2 Support Experience in troubleshooting Production environments
Ability to respond to critical issues, manage critical trouble tickets and drive towards permanent resolutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Strong customer service experience Plus:
Experience in migrating applications from development/test environments to production including customization.
Active participation in infrastructure architecture, such as hardware sizing, effort estimation and security
Experience with complex Windows based environments. Secondary skill sets should focus on Unix/Linux based environments.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and SaltStack.
Experience with Dell VxRail hardware.
Experience with alternate virtual environments like OpenStack or Nutanix.
