At Advanced Automation, we're expanding our investment in modernizing the process industry using ABB 800xA. We deliver cutting-edge automation solutions and lifecycle services across a wide range of industries - from pharmaceuticals and food to energy, mining, and infrastructure.We're now looking for Automation Engineers with experience in ABB 800xA to join our growing and highly skilled team!💡 What You'll Do:
- Design and program automation systems for process applications
- Work in project teams delivering complete solutions - from field devices to monitoring and control
- Support customers in developing application and HMI (Human Machine Interface) standards
- Migrate systems from AC450 to AC800M using AFRY Quality Tool
- Perform application and system testing, including FAT and SAT
- Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of control systems
- Tune control systems post-startup and follow up with operators and technical staff
- Install and configure system networks, servers, and communication equipment
- Contribute to the development of AFRY's engineering optimization tools
- Troubleshoot technical issues and build strong customer relationships
- Has hands-on experience with ABB 800xA
- Is curious, solution-oriented, and enjoys working closely with customers
- Thrives in a role that blends technology, teamwork, and innovation
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience working with control systems.
- Familiarity with ABB systems such as 800xA, AC500, AC800M, and safety systems is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in control system electrical and infrastructure design, including networking, fieldbuses, and I/O loop diagrams.
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset with a goal-oriented approach.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in both Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Industry experience in pulp and paper, or metal and mining processes.
- Familiarity with ABB 800xA P&P and RMC Libraries.
- Certifications in:
- System Health Check
- High Integrity / SIL programming
- Cybersecurity
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Windows environments.
- Knowledge of OS virtualization (e.g., VMware, Citrix), and industrial communication protocols such as OPC, OPC/UA, ODBC.
- Experience with Windows configuration, system administration, and networking fundamentals.
- Understanding of industrial networks and protocols including IEC61850, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, and Profinet.
- Experience with ABB Software - AC400 Advant Master Engineering.
