Job DescriptionNorthvolt has an exciting opportunity for a Global Mobility professional to join our team in Stockholm. In joining us you will play an important part in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories, a great step forward in the transformation to a carbon free society. Given the timing at which you will be joining Northvolt and the early stage of the company, you will be given a unique chance to impact the development of a new company and industry in Sweden, Europe and beyond.We are looking for a Global Mobility Partner with a great grasp on tax and compliance, with a consultative approach. You will support the Senior Global Mobility Manager but also directly interface with business leaders, HR Business partners, vendors and others.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage tax and compliance questions
Coordinate and answer questions around employment income tax. For Swedish tax questions, you are expected to be able to answer many on your own and for the rest, the Company uses an international tax firm. The presence of employees in other countries may also lead to compliance cases which you will coordinate and drive to their conclusion.
  • Analyze and advice on global mobility cases
The company has a workforce on the move and you will partner with managers, HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to manage global mobility cases. You will analyze the need and advise on the best package given the requirements and the operational capabilities of the Company .
  • Manage international Assignment cases
For International Assignments, you will manage the whole process together with local HR, HR coordinators and external and internal providers.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert
You will act as a contact person for all matters Mobility, such compensation and benefit guidelines as well as on tax, social security and other compliance.
  • Support in development of processes and steering documents
You will support the Senior Global Mobility Manager in creating and developing processes and steering documents such as strategies, policies and guidelines.Northvolt is an equal opportunity employer.   • Minimum 2 years experience in an in-house global mobility role, managing tax and/or international assignments
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, HR, Business or related).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of global mobility tax and the OECD tax treaty model, social security implications for employees and companies, as well as other relocation related compliance matters.
