Lead and shape Husqvarna Group's Internal Control function - driving standardization, effectiveness, and a strong control culture across the organization.The positionHusqvarna Group is now searching for a Vice President (VP) Internal Control. In this key role, you will lead and develop the Group’s internal control function, ensuring that controls operate effectively and consistently across all markets. As VP Internal Control you own the Husqvarna Internal Control Framework (HICF), maintaining, improving, and implementing it across the Group, its divisions, and local entities. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will help management assess risks, improve processes, and embed internal control awareness throughout the organization.Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will lead the internal control team and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Group, including Group Management, Divisional management, the Audit Committee, and functions such as IT, Compliance, and Internal Audit. You will work closely with your team and a global network of internal control professionals to drive initiatives, strengthen processes, and promote a strong control culture. The role requires both strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to drive results.Preferred location is Stockholm (HQ), though Ulm, Germany or Huskvarna/Jonsered/Gothenburg, Sweden, may be considered for the right candidate. International travel is expected.Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the internal control function, including the central team of 4 together with the global network of internal control professionals.
  • Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Husqvarna Internal Control Framework (HICF) across the Group, its divisions, and local entities.
  • Support management in assessing risks, improving processes, and ensuring effective controls across finance, IT, sustainability, and operations.
  • Partner with Group IT, Compliance, and Internal Audit to strengthen IT General Controls, implement digital tools, and embed ABAC/fraud prevention measures.
  • Drive short- and long-term initiatives, including internal control over financial and sustainability reporting, GRC tools, and the implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Promote awareness and provide training to ensure internal controls are understood, applied, and part of daily operations.
  • Build a culture of accountability and ownership, making internal control a natural part of the organization’s mindset.
What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for a senior leader with several years’ experience within Internal Control. You have either led an Internal Control function (as Head, VP, or similar) or reported to a Head of Internal Control in a role where you have gained a broad, group-wide perspective on the function, preferably with some international exposure. In either case, you have the knowledge and understanding to lead an Internal Control function, with a solid knowledge of policies and practices.You have solid experience in Internal Control over financial reporting and experience with ABAC and fraud control frameworks, giving you a strong understanding of how to implement and maintain them effectively. You bring strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, experience working with Internal Audit, and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally. Additional experience in Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting, management team participation, improving control environments, or external audit is an advantage.We see that you have an academic degree in a relevant field for the role, or similar relevant experience.
