We're "Tech for People," fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.Your Role & ImpactAs a Senior Backend Developer, you'll design, develop, and implement robust, scalable backend solutions for our diverse clients, focusing heavily on Databricks and Snowflake. This is a consulting role, meaning you'll work closely with clients on-site (1-3 days/week in Gothenburg) and collaborate with Devoteam colleagues.You will:Develop high-performance backend services and APIs for data-intensive applications.Architect and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Databricks (Apache Spark, Delta Lake) and Snowflake (SQL, schema design, performance tuning).Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and front-end developers on end-to-end solutions.Provide technical leadership and mentorship.Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and security.What We're Looking For:5+ years experience as a Backend Developer or Data Engineer.Proven hands-on expertise with both Databricks and Snowflake.Databricks: Strong with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) and Delta Lake.Snowflake: Expertise in SQL, data warehousing, and performance. Snowpark is a plus.Solid backend development skills in Python (preferred), Scala, .Net/ C# or Java.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.What we offer?
