
Teaching assistant in battery simulations

The main task is to investigate how machine learning methods can be combined with battery simulations to, for instance, accelerate or improve predictions, or to make statistical inferences on unobserved variables based on measured data. The focus will be on so-called Lattice Boltzmann methods for simulating an extremely sensitive mass sensor (QCM). The results should be summarized in a written report. The primary duties are thus to participate in research but may also include some administration.Requirements
Employment as a student assistant is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5. Only those who are admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level may be employed as student assistants (Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5 §10). The applicant must show good study results, especially in the relevant subject areas as well as very good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Good knowledge of machine learning and strong programming skills, e.g. in Python or C++, are required. Experience with simulations and other advanced computational methods is a merit.Additional qualifications
