We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.We are looking for a Technical Service Leader Volvo Trucks to join us in Umeå, Sweden.As a Technical Service leader, you will execute the business strategy while ensuring customer’s business needs and expectations are met. The Services Leader is responsible for ensuring technical and operational functions at a concrete customer/site. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential in order to plan and execute customer requirements and will serve as the liaison between our commercial and technical functions.Execution of Account Plan related to Services at a concrete customer/siteAnalyze and control expenditures for area of responsibility to conform to budgetary requirements.Analyze sales statistics to establish priorities, manage performance, and assist sales and technical teams in promoting the customer account strategy.Successfully develop and manage relationships with both manufacturing and engineering functions at customer sites.Serves in a technical advisory capacity to customers including during trials and launches.Partner with PE & Services Manager to establish priorities for the technical services teams.Support VMI requirements and seek VMI improvement opportunities to implement.Prepare and maintain monthly plant quality reports for customers as well as lead customer quality investigations.Assist other departments within the organization in preparing manuals and technical publications.Place product orders for customer plants and resolve immediate customer supply issues.Manage customer product approvals.Support and manage PDCA meetings and processes.Manage customer projects (LWRs, FWRs, EPMs) and prioritize project portfolio.Manage onsite technical service team.Requirements:BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or another applied sciences curriculum preferred.The ideal candidate will have at least eight (4+) years of automotive, chemical, or related industry experienceUnderstanding about the applications and processes in the Automotive industryUnderstanding about chemical materials (paint/ coatings)Knowledge of automotive OEM finishes, coatings experience, refinish systems, and technical knowledge strongly desiredGood Commercial strengths and understandingAbility to multi-task and adjust priorities regularlyDemonstrated skills in customer relationship managementStrong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization and customers.Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional business teams.Knowledge of the functions and organizations, which impact customer relations is required.Fluent in English, local language is nice to have.Ability to travel up to 30%Axalta operates its business in two segments: Performance Coatings and Mobility Coatings, which serve four end markets, including Refinish, Industrial, Light Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle, across North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
